After an initial period
of observation (around three months), aimed at getting to
know one another (structural), staff make an initial valuation
of the client's problems: such an evaluation forms the basis
for the appropriate program for the individual, bearing
in mind the particular needs of each case, their difficulties
and their abilities, as well as setting out the personalized
objectives to be pursued. The objectives are revisited every
six months in the course of the community stay and are discussed
and verified at periodic meetings with the appropriate authorities.
From the point of view of the time line, the educational
and / or rehabilitative/therapeutic program takes the following
shape:
- Pre-reception
- Initial stage of stay or reception
- Substantive stay
- Final stage, which is intended to promote the process
of leaving the community and preparation for reintegration
with the family, where possible, or to form alternative
arrangements, as indicated by the relevant authorities.
The methodology generally foresees the construction of an
educational project and / or rehabilitation/therapy which
is personalized and has the possibility of:
a. A structure to the day
b. Matrix of relationships
c. Opportunity for new stimuli and life experiences
d. Educational tools
e. Psychological/psychotherapeutic discussions
f. Rehabilitation techniques
g. Psychopharmological therapy
h. Networks
